Supreme Court - Does banning Graphic Animal Cruelty Videos Violate Free Speech

I think not.

Take a look at this article from CNN.com yesterday on a potential court battle over whether or not banning Graphic Animal Cruelty & Pet Abuse video violated our freedom of speech.

www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/04/20/scotus.pit.bull.videos/index.html?iref=newssearch

It turns out this all started when I sporting dog company posted ads in a popular sporting dog magazine that sold videos of Pit Bulls attacking farm pigs and other videos which I don't want to describe.

All animals deserve to live and die in the most humane way possible and while sometimes they suffer at our expense for food and meat products - they should at the very least protected from entertainment & sports killing.

  1. Outlawing graphic animal cruelty doesn't violate free speech any more that outlawing child porn. My opinion.
